Environmental Sustainability Governance (ESG) Training & Courses

In today's rapidly changing world, environmental sustainability has become a critical concern for organizations across industries. The Environmental Sustainability Governance (ESG) course offers comprehensive insights into the principles and practices of sustainable business operations.

Participants will explore key concepts such as environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and corporate governance through a lens of sustainability. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and practical exercises, attendees will learn how to integrate ESG principles into organizational strategies, policies, and decision-making processes.

Whether you are a business leader, sustainability professional, or environmental advocate, this course equips you with the knowledge and tools to drive positive environmental change within your organization and beyond.

Join us in an instructor-led ESG Training course to explore the transformative potential of Environmental Sustainability Governance (ESG) and make a meaningful impact on the world around us.

JBI Training offers eight courses in this group. Available courses are BPM — Business Process Management (three days), BPM with Tools (three days), Business Process Reengineering (three days), UML (two days), UML and BPMN (three days), SIMUL8 (two days), Enterprise Architecture Foundations (three days), and Environmental Sustainability Governance — ESG (one day). All courses are available as scheduled classroom sessions in London, as live online instructor-led training, or as customised onsite programmes for business analysis, process improvement, and architecture teams.
Business Process Management (BPM) is a systematic approach to improving an organisation's workflows and processes by analysing how work is currently done, identifying inefficiencies, and designing improved processes that better serve business objectives. JBI offers two BPM courses. The three-day BPM course covers BPM principles, process analysis and modelling techniques, identifying process bottlenecks and waste, redesigning processes for improvement, governance and change management for process initiatives, and an introduction to BPMN notation. The BPM with Tools course covers the same content but adds hands-on practical work using BPM software tools for process modelling and management. Both courses are suited to business analysts, process owners, operations managers, and IT professionals involved in process improvement initiatives.
Business Process Reengineering (BPR) is a more radical approach to process improvement than BPM. Where BPM typically focuses on continuous, incremental improvement of existing processes, BPR involves fundamentally rethinking and redesigning processes from the ground up — starting from the desired outcome and working backwards to design the most effective process to achieve it, unconstrained by how things are currently done. BPR is particularly relevant during major digital transformation programmes, mergers, or when existing processes are significantly misaligned with business strategy. JBI's three-day Business Process Reengineering course covers BPR methodology, identifying transformation opportunities, stakeholder engagement, redesigning core business processes, and managing the organisational change that radical process redesign requires.
UML (Unified Modelling Language) is a standardised visual language used to model and document software systems, business processes, and system architectures. It provides a common vocabulary of diagrams — including use case diagrams, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, and state machine diagrams — that allow analysts, architects, and developers to communicate system design and behaviour clearly and unambiguously. JBI's two-day UML course covers the core UML diagram types, how to use them for requirements modelling and system design, and practical exercises applying UML to real analysis scenarios. The three-day UML and BPMN course extends this to include BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) — the standard notation for modelling business processes — giving delegates a comprehensive toolkit for both system and process modelling.
SIMUL8 is a visual process simulation tool used to model, test, and optimise operational processes and workflows before implementing changes in the real world. It allows organisations to build digital simulations of their processes — including queues, resources, decision points, and variability — and run experiments to understand how different design choices affect throughput, waiting times, resource utilisation, and costs. JBI's two-day SIMUL8 course covers building process simulations from scratch, configuring workcentres, queues, and resources, running and interpreting simulation experiments, and using simulation results to inform process improvement decisions. It is suited to operations analysts, process engineers, and business analysts who want to use simulation as a tool for evidence-based process design.
ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance — the three dimensions used to assess an organisation's sustainability practices and their impact on society and the environment. ESG reporting and governance is increasingly required by regulators, investors, and clients, particularly in financial services, listed companies, and public sector organisations. JBI's one-day Environmental Sustainability Governance course covers the ESG framework and reporting requirements, understanding environmental impact measurement, social responsibility and governance obligations, how to embed ESG considerations into business processes and decision-making, and how emerging AI and data tools are being used to support ESG data collection and reporting. It is suited to compliance professionals, business analysts, operations managers, and executives with ESG responsibilities.
BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) is an internationally recognised standard for visually representing business processes in a way that is accessible to both business stakeholders and technical teams. It uses a specific set of symbols — including events, tasks, gateways, and flows — to map how a process works from start to finish, including decision points, parallel paths, and exception handling. UML and BPMN serve complementary purposes: BPMN is most effective for modelling business processes and workflows, while UML is better suited to modelling software systems, object structures, and system interactions. Many organisations and analysts use both — BPMN to capture and communicate process requirements, and UML to design the systems that support those processes. JBI's three-day UML and BPMN course covers both notations in an integrated programme.
Yes. All courses in this group can be delivered as customised onsite or online programmes for corporate business analysis, process improvement, and architecture teams. Content and exercises can be tailored to the organisation's specific processes, modelling tools, improvement methodology, and sector context. For example, a public sector organisation undertaking a process transformation programme can receive BPM or BPR training that uses their own processes as the basis for exercises, while a financial services firm with ESG reporting obligations can receive ESG training focused on their specific regulatory and reporting requirements. JBI has delivered business analysis and process management training for organisations including the BBC, NHS, RBS, Sky, EDF, and Capita.
