Target Participants
Some previous experience in a project environment is advisable, but not essential. This might mean delegates are already managing projects and now require formal PRINCE2 training, or that they are perhaps involved in some form of project support activity.
Before Attending this Course
It has recently become a requirement of APMG (the examination board), that all delegates who sit a PRINCE2 exam will need to provide a form of photo identification on attendance at the course.
Acceptable forms are as follows:-
- Full Driving Licence
- Passport
- Work Pass ID (with Photo)
Please remember to bring a form of identity with you.
Pre-Work
Delegates are required to undertake preliminary study using JBI’s Pre-Course Workbook.
This electronic pre-course workbook contains the following:
- Background information about PRINCE2
- Examination structures and some guidance
- Definitions of what projects are and what we need to manage
- A project case study based on a real world example
- Some questions and exercises on projects and their management
From our experience, delegates who complete all of the pre-course reading are statistically more likely to be successful in the Foundation and Practitioner examinations and are able to interact more effectively with the course trainer. We recommend you spend between 10 and 12 hours completing this. Further self-study is also expected during the evenings of each day of the course.
Please note that no manual is required for pre-course preparation. Delegates receive a copy of the OGC manual ‘Managing Successful Projects’ when they attend the course.
Please remember to bring your completed pre-course workbook with you to the course.
